Signs Your PGT Impact Garage Door Is Failing

• The door gaps at the bottom or sides during moderate wind. This usually means the vinyl weatherstrip has hardened or the magnetic seal on the jamb has lost its flex. • Visible cracking or delamination in the impact glass inserts. PGT uses laminated glass with a polyvinyl butyral interlayer. UV exposure degrades the bond over time, and once moisture gets in, the glass fogs from the inside. This is a full-panel replacement; the glass isn’t field-serviceable.
